Here’s soundboard audio of a complete Young Sinclairs acoustic show from 2008 at Local Roots Cafe in Roanoke, VA.  This was one of the most intimate shows we ever did – I even got on some VH1 Storytellers shit and nervously tried to explain each song and its creation process, provoking fits of laughter from the rest of the band as I fumbled - fortunately that’s all been edited out on this set here.  Awkward though it may have seemed, it was liberating to really strip everything down and allow myself and my music to be exposed like that – I felt like it was something I needed to do.  We all played acoustically except for the bass guitar which was running through a small Fender Champ amplifier – everyone gathered around one condenser microphone which was fed into a small PA system.  The audio presented here is a direct feed from that mic recorded onto a Tascam 788 Portastudio.  The version of “Sleepyhead” from this show was used on the ‘Don’t Believe In Demos Vol. 1′ collection.

As an added bonus I have included a recording of some rehearsals for this show.  The night before the gig we recorded a bit of our practice session to test out the microphone and get our levels straight – 10 songs – live from the Mystic Fortress:
